Easter JOY

Hope everybody had a sweet Easter this weekend. Jesus is ALIVE and RISEN! As believers we have much to celebrate and be THANKFUL for!
We did family time with my family on Saturday evening. My parents, grandparents, aunt, and uncle all came over to eat dinner. My mom did most of the cooking which was great because even though I love to cook, we were busy getting church all set up that day. I would not have had time to prepare a big meal!
My mom made up a little Easter basket for Eva. Mostly edible treats but also a few small toys including a wind-up chicken.
We already had a wind-up bunny so naturally we had to make them race across the coffee table. That chicken won every time.
Eva thought this was quite funny! It was probably even funnier with Mamy and Grandpa right there!
I love this photo! Eva gave my grandpa (her Great Grandpa Hank) kisses.
After dinner we did a small egg hunt for her. Due to mud it was moved to the playroom. I like that you can see my grandma's sneakers in this photo.
We had done some "practice" egg hunts this week so she was fully prepared :) She even figured out that if she shook it and it made sound that meant there was a prize or candy inside.
Since she is the only kid she gets plenty of attention.  She just sat in the middle and made everybody laugh.
At church Sunday morning! We had an awesome turnout at Bara - God is definitely doing great things! I hope that the people that came felt loved and encouraged. And I hope they come back :)
After a good nap at home we went to Ryan's brother's house. Our 3 nieces and some other family friend's kids were there. These kids were ready to hunt some more eggs....
And they're off! I laughed when I saw the comparison of Mallory's super excited start to Eva's cautious start. For the longest time she only had 3 eggs in her basket because she was so cautious.
At this point most of the eggs were found and Eva was still wondering around slowly to each left over egg to open it up and eat a candy out of it.
My little girl was tired out by the end of the day. Good thing she had Nana to love on her.
