Finally getting around to blogging about Thanksgiving! I'm totally putting off chores right now just to sit down and blog because that's what I feel like doing. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving as the picture above might suggest. We did not get a perfect family of four photo but I like this one just fine.
Little Man was happy to celebrate his first Turkey Day. My friend Brooke has made him this bib a long time ago and it finally matched the occasion.
He is serious about his food. Never get in between a man and his Thanksgiving meal. Even if that man is sitting in a Tinkerbell high chair.
With their Great Grandmother, Mamaw.
Eva really liked playing with Kaylynn at Thanksgiving. I was just happy she had a buddy to run around with.
Hanging out with the cousins. We missed Kiersi and Kayden!
When the men folk sat down to watch the big game Jensen was right there for the action. He loved his cousin Andrew and actually really likes to watch football.
Eva was super happy when Mallory finally arrived. Big hugs!
And then they had to pose like this because they are silly four year olds.
Sibling love.
With Nana and Papa.
The next day we hosted my parents, grandma, aunt, uncle and two of their friends. I am in love with this photo of my kids with my parents. Yes mom, I will print this out for you.
My table setting. I had already transitioned our home from Thanksgiving to Christmas. I love the heirlooms we got to use - my Great Uncle's Tiffany China, my Grammy and Grandpa's crystal and silver, and of course our table that was the one we always gathered around at my Dede and Papa's house for so many Thanksgivings growing up. The Target center pieces and free printable place cards from Pinterest are all our own {wink.}
Since we were eating on Friday we decided to make it a Mexican Thanksgiving with enchiladas and fajitas. No we are not Hispanic. Just Texan.
My mom made me a special diary-free, gluten free pumpkin pie that tasted as good as her traditional one. True love is pie love. Thanks, Mom.
Yeah, those children might be related....
My Thanksgiving tree. This was the only fall decor I left out. At the beginning of November we made a list of 30 things we were thankful for. I typed out each one and created little fall ornaments with scrapbook paper and a circle punch. Eva and I collected real twigs and placed them in a jar of soil. Each morning at breakfast we added one ornament to the tree. I absolutely love how it turned out and just took it down the other day.
I'll wrap it up with this photo of me and my Grandma Dede. The flash made it too bright, but ya'll, she is SMILING in a photo! She can usually be a stinker when it comes to capturing her true self in a photo. I will keep this forever.
I extremely liked photo of the kids with your parents. Everybody look so happy there!I'm happy that you have had a good time with your guests!
