Still playing catch up with the old blog, and today I wanted to share my birthday week. I didn't actually do anything big to celebrate the big 3-2, but I did enjoy a sprinkling of birthday celebrations for over a week!
Eva and I started my celebratory week with a girl's night out to see Mary Poppins at Guyer High School. It was her first musical and she was so excited.
She enjoyed the magic of the theatre, and her favorite part of the show was when Mary Poppins "flew" away. We only lasted until intermission but it was a great memory.
Saturday morning I met my friend Erica for brunch and then Saturday night I enjoyed a nice night with just my boys while Eva stayed with my parents. It's always fun to take Jensen out and pretend like we are new parents :) If the people around us only knew how crazy our life can be.
Sunday afternoon we went to pick up Eva and have lunch and birthday cookies with my parents.
Thursday, my actual birthday, was not a great day. Eva was sick and so a lot of the things I had planed fell through. It was kind of a big bummer. BUT....that later that night I got to escape the house and do some birthday shopping at Hobby Lobby, picking out a bit of new Christmas tree decor. God bless my husband for realizing when I was at my limit and ushering me out the door to go shop! We didn't even have cake until Friday night {above} but at least we had it eventually!
Saturday morning I got to meet up with my friends Ashley and Marianne for some coffee love.
Saturday night Ryan and I got to go enjoy a movie and walk around Southlake, where we ran into Mrs. Claus during the Southlake Tree Lighting.
And finally, my in-laws blessed me with a birthday meal at Pei Wei the following week.
Woah, when you write about all of that, I guess I did have a happy birthday! Sprinklings of love can be every bit as good as one special day.
So glad you were able to celebrate the whole week! You deserved it! Hope this is a wonderful year!
