One of my new favorite parts of Halloween is seeing everybody's cute photos of their kids dressed up. So here's some pics of our Halloween evening. Ryan and I didn't dress up this year - although I began regretting this decision about 30 minutes before we were going to leave. I frantically searched for a quick costume in our closets but couldn't find anything good. So it was back to my Halloween tshirt and Ryan's orange polo. Maybe we will dress up next year.
We had been "practicing" trick or treating around the house this week. She's smart. She knew where that candy was supposed to go :)
My sweet tiger. I think she looked "Gggrrreat!!!!" I'm so glad we ended up going with this costume choice.
My best friend Erica came over and went trick or treating with us! Yay for Auntie Erica being so much fun!
Our first step was the Fall Festival at the church right across the road from us. Bounce house? Check. Petting zoo? Check. Carnival games with candy? Check. A great way to start our evening.
Then it was time to visit some houses. This is one of the most festive houses we've seen this season so we started here.
She looked so big walking up to houses with other kids. She was very friendly and said, "Trick or treat" and "thank you" at just the right times (well, mostly). At the end of the night she started stumbling when she walked up to the houses so we knew that her bucket was plenty full and she was getting tired.
We came home and lit the kitty cat pumpkin one last time. She thinks its a birthday candle, so happy birthday, Halloween.
We enjoyed a little bit of pizza and candy before bed time.
Check out that stash! She got about 100 pieces of candy, but don't worry, Ryan and I are happy to help her eat it. A toddler doesn't need that much candy :)
