Labor Day Weekend

Hope everybody enjoyed their long Labor Day weekend. I love long weekends, it's like getting a bonus day of fun! The past few years of Labor Day's have been terrible for me.... 2 years ago I got a bad stomach virus and was so sick that I ended up going to the hospital a few days later on September 8th, 2010.... then last year I was about 500 weeks pregnant and felt so awful that when my parents came out for lunch that day all I wanted to eat was a cup of ice - and I ended up back in the hospital on September 8th, 2011 to have Eva! This year I was ready to have fun and do not plan on spending September 8th in the hospital!

We kicked off our long weekend by going to the first Byron Nelson football game. I was a little worried about having Eva up in the stands but she did great and was very entertained by all that was going on. We forgot to take a photo at her first football game but we will be going back this Friday night so hopefully we can get one then.

 Everybody knows that the best part of the game is the half time show with the band and the drill team. That's why I go to games.

On Saturday we got up and went swimming at Hawaiian Falls one last time for the summer. Then after lunch we took Eva to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Bank of America has a program where card holders get in free the first weekend of every month so if you bank there, you should visit the museum sometime! Eva had a fun time exploring different stations. In the photo above she was using a glow stick to draw with Daddy.

They had a cup stacking exhibit in the kid's area. For Eva it was more of a cup knocking down exhibit but either way she was interested in it.

Vroom vroom! Check out that big girl driving around the play area. Don't be fooled, I mostly had to push her.

 We were lucky to catch the last weekend of the museum's Grossology exhibit. It was all about body sounds/functions/incidents. Quite humorous.

We may need to duplicate this poster at home as a reminder for somebody in our family.

For Labor Day on Monday we went to my in-laws to hang out with family. We ate barbeque and played cards while the munchkins played with toys. I love how happy Eva is to play with Mallory. The only thing better than one cute baby is two cute babies!!!!

On our way home we stopped by to see this new little fellow. Our friends, the Fords, just had Reece on Sunday morning so he was only one day old. Brand new sweetness! He was born at the same hospital as Eva and his mom's recovery room was only five doors down from where we stayed with Eva. I have lots of great memories there and we had a good time visiting with our friends. Reece is so handsome and I loved getting to hold him!

Operation Fun-filled Labor Day Weekend was a success.
