Starting with the classic Fisher Price barnyard set. Somebody once decided that it was essential for all kids to learn their basic barnyard sounds. Cow - moo. Pig - oink. Chicken - cluck. Back in the day if you didn't know these sounds you weren't allowed in to kindergarten. Now that our culture isn't solely agricultural (as it was in the 1980's) your child might do okay without knowing these sounds .... but what parent is willing to take that risk?
Next we have the Fisher Price doll house. I remember liking the garage door that moved. And those little beds are so stinkin' cute. This definitely prepared me for a future as a housewife.
Then there is the doctor's kit. I always had a heartbeat! I also liked to pretend to hit my knee reflex to make my leg kick up in the air. I wonder why I didn't go premed....
For the future accountants and sales people of the world, Fisher Price offered this cash register. It accepted plastic coins that were needed to buy balloons, apples, and ice cream (pretty much all a kid could ever need).

This one is not a Fisher Price toy but it is amazing!!!! Guess who's mom loved her enough to hold on to her Barbie Magical Motor Home?!?!?! That's right. Mine!!! I look forward to playing with this pink beauty in a few years. Barbie and her crew sure had some adventures in this place.

I did not have either of these airplane toys, but they look like fun. Eva is very observant of airplanes so I think she would like one of these. I bet I could find one at a garage sale or Goodwill. Maybe for Christmas?????

Birthday Party Spoiler Alert: I had a sink just like this and it was so cool - you put water in the top and it squirts out the faucet when you push down on the lever. We are building her play kitchen set and the word on the street is that somebody found one of these and is giving it to her next weekend. I don't want to ruin the surprise so I won't say who.

Another birthday surprise: Ryan and I got Eva the Mother and Father Weeble and a little Weeble play house as her present from us. She was with us when we found it but we've cleverly hidden it in a closet so it will be a fun surprise for her to wake up to the morning of her birthday!
Aren't all of these old toys so fun to look back at and remember? Thanks to my Mom and Dad, and all of my Grandparents, who helped me have good childhood memories.

haha hilarious! and awesome!
