Since Thursday I've been feeling bad and actually thought yesterday afternoon that I could possibly be in labor. I won't go into the details but I ended up spending several hours in the hospital getting treated for some painful conditions. Everything is good and safe with me and the baby (which I have NOT had), but I feel really sick and uncomfortable. I don't want to explain more on the world wide web.....so I will continue with our plans for today.
My parents had planned to come up and have a fun day with me and Ryan. We talked about going swimming and having a fun lunch and possibly seeing a movie or playing games. I was not feeling up for any of that, but wanted them to come over anyway. We went to lunch at Twisted Root and then spent the afternoon just hanging out at the apartment. It was not exciting or adventurous, but I really appreciate that they would come up and hang out with us. I am so thankful for my parents. They used to both be massage therapist, so they were able to massage me neck, back, and feet to try to make me more comfortable. My mom made some dinner for me and Ryan, including enough left overs to freeze for after we have the baby. Ryan and my dad watched plenty of sports. Plus the weather was beautiful and we had the patio door and windows opened for a nice breeze. It was really a good afternoon :) I still feel really sick, but I also feel really happy and blessed to have such loving parents that would hang out at our place all day just to be encouraging and help out. I'm also grateful for my sweet husband and his loving attitude. If I were him I'd be so bored with helping take care of me, but he is always gracious and has such a servant's heart.
So far, no "labor" on labor day...but you never know!
Sorry you felt sick, but hopefully you'll feel better soon!
