10 Months Old

Dear Eva Kate,

Happy 10 Months!!!! Wow, what a month. I think that you have had the biggest life changes (moving and your first vacation) and your biggest development (crawling!) this month, and ironically I've taken the least amount of photos of you. I've been too busy moving us and keeping us with you to take many pictures.

Peek-a-boo! I might be stuck here guys....

It has been absolutely amazing to see you grow and change this month. You crawl. You pull yourself up to a standing position from the floor. You push yourself back from your tummy to a sitting down position. You hold onto furniture and cruise along. You can walk just holding onto me with one hand. You wave hi and bye-bye all the time, and a lot of times you make sounds that are pretty close to hi and bye-bye. You make the sounds for mama and dada, although I don't think you are actually saying them to us that much. You feed yourself all sorts of soft finger foods like peaches and peas.

You pulled yourself up to the table and started "reading" Daddy's Bible yesterday. So precious.

I am so proud of you for being such a friendly baby. When we go places you smile and wave and babble at everybody you meet. I LOVE that your sweet personality can be such a blessing to others. You enjoy being around friends and family and make everybody laugh with you all the time. You are such a joyful baby.

Does anybody want to play with me?

You like to get out lots of toys and can entertain yourself for a few minutes if I'm busy in the kitchen. The other night you sat and rolled a ball back and forth with me and Daddy and it was so neat to see that you totally understood that we were playing a game. Today you sat and watched yourself playing and talking in a mirror that was down on the ground. You like to explore any new place we set you down. You make the sweetest baby sounds. You like it when you make a funny face/sound, and we do the same thing back, and then you do it back to us - over and over and over again.

This is what my Mama prays for me to do every night.

Eva, I love you so much more than you could ever imagine. Just writing this letter to you brings a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. How am I so lucky to be your Mama? I am so happy to spend my days loving on you and laughing on you. I love your sloppy kisses and your big wide grin. Even though I am pretty exhausted most days from waking up with you a few times a night and chasing you around all day, there is no better reason in the world to be tired. You are worth every bit of it.

love, Mama
