Here in Texas there is now some unspoken rule that we must take our children to the pumpkin patch in order to truly embrace the season. It's so much fun! Plus you can paparazzi stalk your child and end up with some cute fall pumpkin photos. What more could a mama ask for?
When we were driving up Eva shouted "PUMPKINS!" I love the sight of all that beautiful orange goodness.Eva's favorite part was the hayride. It's free, so we did it once at the beginning and once at the end.
She also loved the merry go round and played on it several times. They had several bounce house which I was excited for her to play in.....turns out that today she was terrified of bounce houses.....which she has done before and loved. Go figure.
The cartoon cut outs were way more fun for her this year since she's actually seen some of the movies and shows. Our favorites were Monster's Inc. (although no Boo, who is her favorite person ever), Toy Story (I think she was checking them out to see if they were real), Dora, and Wall-e and Eva (her namesake). A note to other mamas - if you plan on visiting the pumpkin patch in Flower Mound I would suggest wearing rain boots or other shoes that can get very muddy. It hadn't been raining in a week but the ground was very muddy.
Sure would have been cute if I'd had taken the same photo last year. But I didn't. Life goes on. Here's to new traditions!
We got lucky and had perfect weather. I love that you can see the beautiful Texas clouds in the sky above her. How awesome is it that we live in a place where kids can run around in a field of pumpkins? We are so blessed.
Looking forward to more harvest fun this month!
